5fast, accurate, and versitile
By ut158
We use 2 different 2D barcode readers at work and this one is far superior to the other (a Honeywell... I think it's 30206?).The Honeywell has a large red illuminated area and a much smaller blue box inside that area. The blue box is the "hotspot". This Wasp reader uses a cross hair instead. Both are perfectly adequate, but my preference is the cross hair. Both barcode readers can read even very small QR Codes (they both do several others, too, but this is what I'm using everyday) but the Wasp reads them faster. My primary preference to the Wasp, however, comes from the fact that it is deadly accurate. The Honeywell will sometimes misread and insert funny characters. The Wasp has never done that (as far as I've noticed). I think accuracy is the most important feature of a barcode reader and the Wasp has yet to make a mistake. The reader comes with a book of configurations that you can set--pretty much anything I could think of any many other things besides.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

5Very Good scanner
By Ashor
I bought it for my company which we use it in testing servers and mainboards that use 2D barcodes, plug and play, no need to configure anything work in Windows and DOS very smoothly.

5Fast, accurate, & easy to program!
By D. Matheny
We just picked up one of these WASP WDI4500 2D barcode scanners a couple of weeks ago and have been playing with integrating it into our software. Before we even got started with the software integration, it was obvious that this is an excellent little scanner. Here are the things I've noticed since we've been messing with it:1) It is extremely fast. It scans almost instantly and transfers the results to the PC just as quickly.2) It can scan just about anything. Our software relies on scanning 2D barcodes that have been faxed at least once - which is pretty challenging for most scanners. In this case, we haven't come up with any samples that the Wasp can't read. We've also found that it can read extremely small barcodes as well.3) It is very easy to program. Just download the user guide from their website and it's easy to scan the different settings into is reader. The main thing we needed to change was to add the 'Start Transmit' and 'End Transmit' codes so we could detect input from the scanner. The only issue we ran into was resetting the factory defaults after messing up on our first programming attempt. It turns out the factory defaults don't put the scanner into the standard keyboard mode - so it did take a while to figure out why we weren't able to get data after the programming reset. :)Anyway, if you're looking for an extremely fast & accurate USB scanner for any type of barcode project, I would highly recommend this model from Wasp!
