Nice case from Case Logic

Before I go into any other details about this case, please note: This case is the exact dimensions listed by the manufacturer and it will not accept a laptop larger than the specified 13-14.1 inches. You might be able to force a thicker 14" laptop into it, but you would make it difficult to zip and probably cause the zipper to fail prematurely. It is advertised as handling up to a 14.1" Mac, and it does, but very snugly.That said, this is a nice case for its intended size. I have a 14" MacBook Pro in it. It fits in nice and snug. The case is sleek and thin. Its design is on the feminine side in color and pattern, burgundy with a small, somewhat floral pattern on less than a quarter of the front, and the same pattern covering the inside. The pattern is not so noticeable that a man cannot use the case though.Along the top of the outside floral pattern runs a small zipper which conceals a pocket which may be used for storing items such as your laptop cables and a small book/notepad, or phone or a point and shoot camera. The pocket measures about 10"wide x 8" deep. It is so well hidden, running along an outside seam, that you might not even notice it, except for the Case Logic product tag hooked on the zipper.The case has a decent amount of padding considering its thin nature. But it is a soft case and not molded, so expect to use it for general protection against scratches and bumps, not hard falls.There is a double handle on the top of the case, convenient for carrying the bag. There are no other straps or snaps to add a strap.Overall this is a nice bag when used for its intended size.

Well Designed and Durable 13" Laptop Case

This is a very well designed, durable and functional case for a 13" laptop. The size of the case perfectly fits 13" laptops, although you could conceivably use it with smaller ones as well. It will definitely not fit a 15" or larger laptops, and even 14" would be pushing it.The case provides quite a bit of protective padding for a laptop, even more so than I had come to expect from similar laptop cases. The exterior is made out of polyester and feels very rugged and not likely to get ripped or otherwise damaged. The two handles are also made out of polyester and they are padded for comfort while carrying your laptop by hand.The front of this case has a barely noticeable hidden (so much so that it took me a bit to find it) pocket designed to be used for storing cell phones, notepads, pens or any other small accessories.The color of this case is much brighter than the online picture would suggest. It is listed as "tannin," although I would classify it as burgundy. Part of the cover sports a pseudo-floral pattern that is not readily visible in any of the photographs.The handles are convenient when you are transporting the laptop over a short distance, although I wish they could be retractable and hidden when not in use. This is not just an esthetic consideration - if your primary way of transporting a laptop is in a messenger bag, backpack or a suitcase, then the handles may easily "hook" other items or get caught in some way. This is not a major issue, just something that I think would make an otherwise really solid laptop case even more functional.

nice for the price

just received this today and i'm very pleased. i was a little concerned about the size. i have a 14.1 inch HP Pavilion and it's a tricky size to find a case for. i was happy to find that it fits like a glove. i can store my charger and wireless mouse in the front zipper pocket but it's a little tight. that's the only reason i didn't give 5 stars. other than that, it's a pretty color, nice fit, and great price!
