Would have been an excellent TV stand if it has stronger center support.

This review is for "Pearce 72" TV Stand in Espresso".I bought this low profile TV stand for my 60" Sharp LED back in Feb. 2012. It's been 10 months now and I thought it's time to give it a review.This TV stand looks very nice in design, color and finish except few minor rough finish around the legs and edges where the slide doors are if you come close to it but I don't mind much...thought I mention it so others are aware of it. But if you sit from a distance where you sit and watch TV, this TV stand looks very nice and impressive.One problem I have with this TV stand is it can't handle the weight of my 60" LED TV after 7+ months. The product description says it handles up to 72" TV. Mine is only 60" LED (don't have the exact weight but it's new 2012 model and thin). Ater 7 months, the middle section, top surface where the TV base rests on, started to bend. This causes the 2 sliding glass doors to jamb when you side them out or away from the center. I ended up purchasing a wall mount and hung up the TV instead of let it rest on the Stand. It's actually looking better now than it was resting on stand (maybe with the help of 2 standing speakers on the sides and center piece speaker rests on the stand where the TV used to be) so I only subtracted 1 star; would have been 2 if it doesn't. This is just my personal prefence so you may or may not like it hung.Overall, it is a very nice TV stand... most of my friends noticed it right away and gave good comments. I would recommend this TV Stand if you are going to use it for 55" LCD/LED TV or smaller, storing your media players, receivers/amplifiers and for 60" or above if wall mounted.

Sony fell VERY flat with this one...

My first Sony camera was a Mavica (loved it and still have it). My second camera was a 8.1 MP DSC-N1 (BEST camera I have EVER owned and have had it for five years). This one is my third. I wish I could say that I was excited and pleased about this one as I've been about the other two, but I'm not. Not even close. Since I was so pleased with the first two cameras I had NO problem being brand-loyal and staying with Sony. I did look at other digital cameras to see what they had and basically no one had everything I was looking for in one camera like Sony. 14.1 MP, HD video recording, different shooting modes, and a compact size. I'm no pro but I know about my digital cameras. Since my DSC-N1 broke (sniff) I immediately compared this camera to that one. It had to be better right?Wrong. Glaringly wrong! For starters the touch screen isn't as nearly clear as the DSC and the picture quality is FAR from what I expected. Going from an 8.1 MP to a 14.1 MP, I should have seen a dramatic change in picture quality. Actually... I did. But in the opposite direction. How can an 8.1 produce clearer shots than a 14.1? And they both have the Carl Zeiss lens! When I download the pictures to my computer and blow them up there is a definite and quite obvious difference in the picture quality. Not cool. The other thing that is very frustrating is the "fishbowl" effect on the edge of the pictures. The middle of the picture is OK but the outer edges look like I gave this camera to Aqua-Man and told him to go for it. Having my pictures look like that is unforgivable. I have tried different settings, mixing and matching but nothing seems to get rid of that "fishbowl" effect.I was trying to be "smart" and not get the camera I wanted because of the money. Next time I'll know better. This was an expensive lesson to learn but I've learned it. I'm so frustrated with this camera I threw it up on Craigslist barely two weeks after I got it to try and get rid of it. Unfortunately the only takers I've had have been the "I'll send you a money order" scammers. This camera comes with all the bells and whistles but unfortunately the important ones, pictures and picture quality, fall way way short.

Fantastic tiny Sony

Great Camera! Does all that the advertisement says it can do. Very slim. Neat looking. Excellent pictures and an EASY setting option. I owned a Sony T-100 and the Samsung pocket dual screen and I love this more. Dual screen not really helpful because when you take a picture of yourself you can really only get background as far as your arms can stretch. The panorama feature in this camera is waaaay worth it. Most importantly, buy it from AMAZON, it is cheaper than the Sony website and arrives quickly and in excellent condition.

I have been wearing this hat all through this hot summer and it is fantastic! It keeps the sun off of my head, out of my eyes and off of my neck. Good sturdy case

Pretty good protection for my Microstation. It has shoulder staps and hand straps. Not a lot of storage in the pocket but enough for the a/c adapter and leads. I would have liked detachable shoulder straps as they tend to catch on door handles etc.

Nice but not finished

This reasonably priced storage cabinet worked for me because of it's slim tall design. Exactly what I was looking for. It is also pretty easy to put together. That's the good news. The unit is heavy and when delivered, I found a couple minor blemishes caused by the shipping. I managed to hide them rather than return. My biggest complaint has to do with the finish. The underside of the shelves and top are not finished! Where I ended up placing the cabinet minimizes this oversight, but be cautious if you will display this more prominently.

In all cases, the items come disassembled in heavy, somewhat awkward, cartons. However intimidating the cartons look, the items themselves are easily assembled following the step-by-step directions. I found all the pieces marked as stated in the assembly instructions and requiring little mechanical skill to assemble.In short, I'm please with my purchases which proved to be rugged and tough after assembly, very sturdy, and stable on a level floor. I'd recommend the product to anyone.

Solid CD/DVD Storage

This unit is manufactured in Canada, and came precision drilled with all necessary holes for assembly. Unfortunately, one piece (the left side) was damaged in transit. I got online as the instructions indicated, and had a replacement piece within a week. Assembly was straightforward. Finished unit is solid and holds lots of disks with various sized packaging.One suggestion for Prepac. They should finish the bottom side of the top and the shelves. I painted the top in satin black where it wasn't finished, because you can see it is unfinished when sitting looking at the unit. I will subsequently similarly finish the bottom of the shelves.

Beautiful table...pain to put together

This table is gorgeous. Seriously, it looks fantastic. The table top is heavy, glossy, and the patterns are beautiful. The legs are solid metal with a good finish and this table is very sturdy. The problem is the the way the holes line up, which makes putting the legs together one massive pain in the rear. It's do-able though, which is why I gave it 4 stars, but it takes some grunting, shoving, and old-fashioned elbow grease to force the pieces to line up. While the table was being put together, the review was at 1 star, but the finished product was so great looking that as time passed, it seemed as though the massive effort to put it together wasn't really that big a deal after all. But, unfortunately, it really was a big deal, so if you don't want to deal with that kind of irritation, find another table. However, if you are strong, patient, and handy, you'll probably be able to put this table together with some irritation and some creative cursing.

Gorgeous, sturdy, and durable table

I was thrilled to see this table in person, it really is beautiful. It has every tone of beige marble-looking stone squares with a hint of white quartz. The base is a brown bronze-looking powder coated finish that compliments my medium cherry furniture, and is very stable with everything being connected with spring washers, flat washers and allen screws. My only gripe is the screws used to attach the center ring to the legs are about an eighth inch short requiring me to leave off the flat washer to make a secure connection, but it all worked out taking 45 minutes to assemble each table. You definitely have to have strength in your hands to manipulate the metal to line up with the predrilled holes. But the work is so worth the quality stone top beauty. I had asked other customers prior to buying if this needed to be sealed to prevent stains/water marks, but it is already sealed and ready to go for years of durability. No regrets here, I LOVE my tables! I paired these tables with the Westover Weave Four Lamp value pack, the bronzes match closely as do the faux marble accents.

Prettier than the picture!

I needed storage for lots of VHS tapes (can't get the movies in DVD yet). I decided to give this a try based on the description. I was unimpressed by the picture.It arrived in about a week, in two flat, fairly heavy boxes. There were lots of pieces. I needed a phillips screwdriver and a hammer to assemble it. I doubted most of the way, as I followed the very clear instructions, that this was going to turn out well.I was wrong!Not only does it look great in the room, it works. It turns well. I selected the number of shelves and how far apart they are to fit what I wanted to fit, including the big, old Disney VHS cases. I have plenty of extra shelves in case I want to change to DVD's or CD's in the future. I even had fun assembling it!If you don't mind doing the work to put it together, I highly recommend this tower. But if its going upstairs, downstairs, or too far from where the UPS guy puts it, carry the pieces 1 by 1. Once assembled, you won't want to move it by yourself.

Very efficient

I have about 350 DVDs and not much room to store them. I have bought a few DVD racks in the past and they weren't very useful. The ones I have bought were not made well, plus everytime I would bump into the DVD rack, most of my DVDs would fall out. It was quite a hassle and they always took up room.This DVD tower was terrific. Not only does it hold many DVDs, it also saves space. I bought the oak and black DVD tower and it looks very nice against my oak floor. The tower also swivels around and is very sturdy. The swivel is a great feature. I don't have to worry about all my DVDs falling out everytime I move the rack. Very well made and I am pleased with it. The best DVD tower I have bought.

saved my sanity

I am on my third one of these. I originally bought one a couple of years ago because my dog (an adult Rottweiler) was barking a lot. I live in a condo and I didn't want to call extra attention to myself and/or upset the neighbors. However, my experience with the shock collars is that they don't work, I didn't want to use one of those ultrasound devices because I thought it might upset my other pets, and I actually didn't mind if my dog barked when someone came to the door (since my doorbell didn't work). I figured this collar would allow me to teach the dog when it was OK to bark and when it was not OK.And it really DID work. It was only a short time (a week or two) before the inappropriate barking stopped. What a relief! Without being prompted, two neighbors (one from next door and one from right above me) later complimented me on how quiet my dog was.Unfortunately, the first anti-bark collar stopped working. It lasted maybe a year. So I bought a second one. It worked great, but the cloth band that made up the collar part wouldn't stay tightened. The darned thing actually fell off outside somewhere when I was walking the dog. I didn't notice right away (she was a black dog and the collar was black), and I lost it. That's a pretty expensive thing to lose, and is the main reason I took off a star. (That almost made me take off more stars, except that the collar really did work, and I'd been at my wits' end.)So, I bought a third one and duct-taped the collar band together after I size-adjusted it for my dog. Now it can't slide off. (I'm using it for my 5-month-old Rottie puppy now, since the other dog passed away in December.)These things do go through batteries quickly. There are a number of buying options at reasonable prices on Amazon. Order them in bulk so you'll always have some handy.

Very happy with my cart

I have a tiny NYC kitchen so I recently bought this cart to add some counter space. Its small size is ideal - it adds just enough extra work space without taking up too much room. I've had it for a couple of weeks and am really happy with it so far. My husband assembled it in on evening; it took a couple of hours but wasn't too strenuous. The only flaw is the granite has a brown stain on one side, a little ugly but not worth returning it over. Overall, very functional and attractive. I'm really happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW.

This is a very beautiful Kitchen cart. If you are wondering what "Wenge" is, it's the color it comes in, a lovely dark wood. Not cheap material atall for $99.00. I was pleasantly surprised. The draw is much larger than I thought it would be, enough space in their to put all my silverware with room to spare. The Granite top is thick and very heavy. I was expecting the Granite to be thin because the price was so cheap, but it wasn't. Comes on canisters so you can roll it around. I have 4 bottles of wine underneath the draw and the pull out basket is really large, as wide and long as the actual cart. I put all my balels and breads in their. The bottom shelf I put my Toaster on. It looks fantastic, great for small spaces in the kitchen, mine is in the corner where the dish washer used to be, so it fills that gap nicely.The only problem was putting it together, the instructions are hazy so I first put a couple of things together backwards, then I had to start over lol. No big deal at all, the finished results are worth the pain of figuring the instructions out.Over all, a must buy, Catherine.
