5Lamp for Mitsubisi HD DLP WD-Y65
By 4u2
This lamp and housing was as described in the sellers description. It was an easy install (because I purchased the lamp with housing). When you are installing just, make sure the TV is unplugged -- safety issue. I decided to go with a Phillips lamp instead of the Osram (that was in the original installation) after talking with a tech one on one. He said in his opinion, the Phillips was a brighter bulb. With the new bulb in place, you definitely see a brighter picture. I got 4-1/2 years out of my first bulb, I am hoping I can get the same out of this replacement.

5Great Product
By Noel
I recieved this bulb ahead of schedule and just in time to watch the world series. It has a better case design than the original in my opinion and is an easy installation. Definitly a good buy for the money.

5Great upgrade for the stuttering Thinkpad X41
By zhao
Got this for two Thinkpad X41's that a friend and I bought in 2005 for university. I have since moved on to a Thinkpad X201 Tablet as my main laptop but the X41 was too good a machine to just junk. So I looked into how I may upgrade the hard disk -- the main bottleneck for the X41's sluggishness.SSD was obviously the best option, and after reading poor reviews of the Kingspec drives, I decided on this one. I took the 128GB version as more disk space was always welcome. The package came with the drive, a hard disk case, a plastic block to fill up the casing, a PATA IDE to mini-USB board, USB Y-cable, small screw-driver and screws for the casing. I had only expected a drive so the other items seemed like a great bonus. However, it turned out that the circuit board didn't fit perfectly into the casing with a hard disk attached. So even though the casing was nicely built, I couldn't put a drive in there. Quite a waste! The connector board works perfectly though, so I connected the SSD to it and plugged into the X41. Using EaseUS Todo Backup free edition, I cloned my stock 60GB 4200RPM disk installed with Windows 7 Home premium over. It took just about 1 hour for the cloning, as I had done a fresh install of Windows 7 (upgrade version, from XP) on the old disk. After that, I swapped in the Runcore SSD, and it works perfectly! Even on the aged processor and 1GB RAM on my friend's laptop, it takes just about minute to get into Windows 7. Application start-up is blazingly fast as well.If you have used the X41 with the stock 4200RPM you may literally shed tears of joy and relief at how much the SSD speeds it up.This disk has effectively given the old X41 a new lease of life. If you mainly use the X41 for web browsing, watching online videos and doing some word processing, this SSD is all you need to keep it going for at least a couple of years more. There isn't any laptop as compact and light as the X41 on the market now, I think.PS. Obviously the new disk invoked the 2010 error at the bios start-up, as it is not a Lenovo disk. I flashed the bios with a modded version found online and it seems to have sorted out the problem.

Pros:Looks great, i like the design, elegant but not too flashy.Lots of room for cable management.Onboard fan controller.Cons:DO buy the NZXT 200mm fan is you wish to install the two addition 200mm fans. Other brands(such as CM) will NOT fit in.Not enough room for the side 200mm fan if a large cpu heatsink is installed (see my pics which i used a Scythe Mugen 2).You have to keep the intake fans running faster than the exhaust ones to overpressure your case to prevent dust.calculation here (assuming all 7 fans are installed):NZXT 120mm fan: 47CFMNZXT 140mm fan: 62.5CFMNZXT 200mm fan: 166CFMintake=47+47+62.5+166=322.5exhaust=47+166+166=379you will get a -56.5CFM if all fans are at stock speed. So save your money and forget about the additional top 200mm exhaust fan.

5The Amazing Case
By Dan
I've been using this case for about a month and I'm a huge fan. I'd never heard of NZXT before but the reviews for this case caught my eye and I figured it was worth a shot. It definitely was. Coming from an hp media center case was like night and day, literally. This case is black and the hp case is white... The night is a bit bigger but not by much, and the phantom has better aesthetics, airflow, and cable management.Pros:a: The case is very spacious. It's tall and long so you don't have to worry about fitting your graphics card. My Radeon HD6950 has about 3 or 4 inches of room between the rear of the card and the drive bays.b: Lots of fan ports: 2 192mm fans on top pump out hot air, a side port allows you to blow on your graphics card and motherboard, and front/side fans blow on your hard drives. All this makes for a cool system.c: Integrated fan controller. Very nice for regulating your fans manually; you no longer have to worry about PWM and whatnot. Very convenient if using for both gaming and home theater.d: Lots of angles; this is a very sexy case and very distinctive. If you like having a unique system, this case may be for you.e: Very large. Yes, this was covered in a, but only with respect to room for interior components. There are other benefits as well. Upon first seeing this case, my 5'2" girlfriend commented that if an armed intruder were to enter the house, she could hide behind the case and have a reasonable chance of escaping unscathed. I agreed, and added that if I removed the hard drive bays, I could fit her into it and send her to NZXT for warranty support.Alas, every product has cons. Here they are for this case:a: The major con is the width of the case and/or positioning of the rear outlet fan. This is due to the fact that with either a large air cooler or a corsair h50/h70 water cooler, you will not be able to fit the 200mm fan into the side panel. Trust me, I tried. When I attached a 200mm fan to the side, my h70 occupied the second quadrant (pi/2 - pi for those mathematically inclined) of the fan as seen from outside the case. There really is no way to get around this; if you move the fan any lower you overlap with the motherboard output ports. I solved this by taking 2 120mm fans, taping them together using gorilla tape, and then using metal wire to attach them to the screw holes. I also drilled a hole in one corner to solidly screw in the assembly; it holds very well and performs admirably. It's placed in the lower half of the fan port and blows air directly onto my graphics card.b: Doesn't come with all of the fans installed. You have to pay to get the rest of the fans. There's plenty of airflow even without the extra fans if you don't want to pay though.c: The LED button on the rear allows you to turn off the fan LED, but not the power/HDD or fan controller LEDs.d: The door can bother some people but I don't mind ite: USB ports are on top of the case which decreases their range by a few inches compared to front mounted ports. It also makes it a bit of a hassle to put in a USB if you're like me and put it into a media shelf where the shelf panel is only a couple inches above the top of the case.f: The fully built system is a bit heavy, but nothing unmovable. I'm a 5'5" college kid and I had no trouble moving it from my house to my 3rd floor apartment.g: The latch system for taking off the side panel isn't well thought out. It's hard to explain but the latches on the inside aren't firmly attached and it's easy to dislodge them, causing the spring to fall off. In this manner, the spring for the latch fell into my power supply. I bent an uncoated wire into a tweezer shape and started digging around inside the PSU to get it out. I think about 10 seconds passed before I realized how bad of an idea this was. Believe it or not, I'm actually an honors student. Fortunately, I survived the experience and was able to post this review. I recommend just unscrewing all the screws rather than using the latch.Although I listed more cons than pros, the magnitude of the pros greatly outweighs that of the cons and I thoroughly recommend this case to anyone. I really like it and you will too.

5NZXT Phantom - Incredible ATX Case
By Andrew S. Prihar
Pros: - HUGE (Pics do not do it justice) - SEVEN case fan slots (2 200mm on top, one 200/230mm on side, two 120 mm on side, one 120 mm exhaust, one 140 mm front) - INCREDIBLE Cable Management using included (and well placed for ATX Mobo) Grommets, Cable Ties, etc. - VISUALLY APPEALING (i.e. - SEXY! lol jk)Cons: - Case only comes with four fans (back exhaust, top back 200mm LED, two side 120mms). You need to buy the other three. :( nr a big deal, as the included fans are probably sufficient - Case fans make a *BARELY* (and I stress BARELY) audible humming noise (they are fans, I guess). I don't consider myself a fan noise prude, but the noise is just barely there when running stock fans at full speed. Luckily, one can slow them down a tad using the built-in fan-controller :) Also, if you are going to buy another 200mm fan or two for the case, I'm BEGGING you to please buy NZXT's LED 700RPM 200mm fan (exact same one as the Phantom came with). Their "Performance Fan" is SUPER-Loud even at lower RPMs and makes the system as a whole considerably noisier.Other Thoughts: I had the all-white version of this at my university in Los Angeles, and I decided that, over the summer, I would carefully pack up my CPU (i7-2600k), RAM, PSU, and SSD in my suitcase (probably ill-advised but w/e) and take it home with me (to PA). I got home, ripped out the guts of my old build (a Phenom x4 based system), and shoved the hardware in my old case. But, I realized, I missed the Phantom. Not to mention, my younger sister was slaving away on an old Celeron (*shivers*) based system. So, voila, instant solution! Extort money out of my parents for the purpose of "getting my sister a new computer" (i.e. - throwing old hardware back in old case), and really use it to buy myself this case for my new Sandy Bridge hardware. Win-Win!Returning to the point though, the red-white theme is AWESOME. The back LED fan is, in fact, RED, and not ORANGE (as Newegg reports), nor BLUE (as Amazon originally reported). I also stuck a 2-m set of NZXT Red LED lights (purchased on Amazon for ~$20) in the case for added effect and WOW! I'm definitely rockin my Phightin Philadelphia Phillies color scheme now LOL. If anything, this is even BETTER than my original Phantom, as the back exhaust fan screw holes have been pre-modded to ensure that installation of, say, a Corsair H70, will not preclude one from having a top back 200mm fan installed (though the side 200mm still won't fit).

By sivmem
The whole replacement took less than 3 minutes. The assembly plugged directly into where the old one was perfectly. We have had the bulb about a year now with no problems.

4Time will tell
By M. Clouse
I ordered this for my Mitsubishi TV that was GIVEN to me by my generous Brother and sister-in-law! 140 bucks for a 52" DLP TV..not bad. In researching the reviews I discovered a horrible track record for this TV and its lamps. So I ordered the Philips brand name rather than some 3rd party that I had never heard of( I wanted to avoid the Mitsubishi OEM bulb) The company shipped promptly and it was packaged very safely. Put it in in a matter of a couple minutes and its working great. We shall see how long it last as it will get a great workout in my house with two teenagers around!

5Collectible That Won't Collect Dust
By David Lemoine
When this Mater arrived, I was afraid it was just a collectible that would only be able to sit on its base(which has cool blue LEDs that light up under Mater). I chanced an operation with the screwdriver, took out the 4 screws that hold the base together, and the 2 that hold Mater to the base. Mater then comes off and can be played with as a regular car and placed on the base to hit the button that lights things up. The posts on the base fit into indents under Mater to properly locate him. The paperwork mentions sounds, but mine didn't seen to be equipped when I looked at the wiring inside the base. I ordered this as a Christmas present for my son and not removing it would not work for him. It is a very cool car that would be a great collectable, but more valuable to me as a way to make my son's day. This Mater has cool packaging that lets you display it and activate the LEDs through a small hole, and even change batteries without removing it from the original packaging, but if you are interested in this as a toy, have a philips head screwdriver handy.

4Not for kids
By lengguy75
I bought this for my sons' birthday. Needless to say, they were ecstatic when they received it. I didn't realize Mater was mounted on a base that lights up. It was cool! But the idea is to play with it so my husband had to dismantle the base and the wirings to get Mater out of the base. Very nice quality. Kids loved it. The only thing that disappointed us is that the box was destroyed when we got it.

5Sigma 18-250mm lens
By Jeffrey French
I've been using this lens now for a month or so and am impressed with it's light sensitivity, the telephoto capabilities. Sure it's heavy but it has eliminated my having to change lenses to get a shot. Works for me!

5Nice Detector
By Hoyom
Works well with all rotarty lasers. The only down side is that the clamp does not seem to open wide enough for the fiberglass rod I use. Regardless, it still gets the job done.

2A lemon XtremKey?
By motor50
I purchased the Lacie 32GB XtremKey several months ago because I really wanted something I didn't have to worry about causing damage to during daily use. It was supposed to withstand harsh conditions, but it so far has had quite the time withstanding my front pocket. After approximately one month, the wire keychain started to fray. I first noticed this when I put my hand in my pocket and one of the frayed wires stabbed my finger. I had read a review where someone had a similar experience, but I didn't buy it for the wire keychain and took that chance when I ordered it. I removed the wire and just kept it loose in my pocket from that point on.I had no problems with the functionality of the drive until approximately two months ago (about 7 months old). I got an error when I plugged the drive in to any computer and had to format it to get it to work again, losing everything on the drive. Luckily I had my files backed up. Then, a few weeks later, I opened the XtremKey to use it (as normal) and the part that houses the actual USB drive literally fell apart in three pieces in my hand. I have never thrown it, dropped it, stepped on it, or driven over it with a truck. This drive literally goes from my pocket to my desk or into a computer. So today I find myself with a container of gorilla glue trying to secure it all back together and decided I should share this experience. Now, I realize I have not contacted Lacie and given them the opportunity to make it right, but should I have to? This review is just a review for the product itself. Lacie may very well have outstanding customer service.I would not recommend this product based on the experience I have had with it.

5Good on Fedora
By Michael Goulish
I'm using this on Fedora 12, and so far I'm thrilled with it. All I care about with a USB drive is survivability and function on Linux, so this seems like a perfect drive to me.I got a write-speed of 7 MB/sec for 6 GB in 11,000 files on a quiet system. When you take the stick out of its Krell Steel shell, it's quite small. Much smaller than the (older tech) 16 GB Corsair Survivor I was using last week. And here, smaller is better. Less torque on your USB port.To me, the Survivor was a little disappointing in that, when you shuck it, the actual stick does not look or feel particularly survivable. This one is different. The stick itself, even without its shell, still feels very solid.I can think of one minor improvement. Make the larger end of the closed stick flat, so I can stand it on a desk in what feels like the most natural way, and it won't wobble. ( The memory stick wobbles but it doesn't fall down...)Other than that point, I see no way to improve upon this stick. So far everyone I show it to -- if I let them pick it up -- says, "I'm gonna get one of those."

4LaCie XtremKey 64 GB things to consider
By pbk
Just some quick thoughts on the Lacie XtremKey 64 gig flash drive:1) There is no LED indicator of any sort on the flash drive itself. You will be fully reliant on whatever the OS reports to you. Maybe I'm old school but I like having an LED indicator on the drive as I feel the OS isn't always accurate.2) The base of the flash drive is very narrow and being that the entire drive is smooth, it is somewhat difficult to unscrew the flash drive from the housing. There is not much more than 1/4" of base to grip to separate the flash from the shell.3) This flash drive runs warm. I thought this was surprising as I've never noticed any of my other flash drives being warm when plugged in. Perhaps this is simply a side effect of its size and the all metal housing.Other than that, this flash drive is very sturdy when in its housing and has a very sharp look to it. EDITED TO ADD: It wasn't obvious to me so I thought I'd mention: The key chain loop unscrews at one end.

1Beware!!! Company did not ship a Philips Lamp - Do not waste your time with this seller!
By tom witherspoon
Product description indicated lamp would be a genuine Philips lamp shipped in a Philips box. Instead I received a GENERIC lamp. Upon my inquiry, no explanation was provided by the seller as to why the lamp sent was not as described, just a quick here is your RMA and that they (Margin Mart), "is not liable for packages that are lost in transit. It is highly recommended that you use a traceable shipping". So, not only did I have to pay for the item to be shipped to me, but now I have to pay for the return postage as well - when they sent a product that was not as advertised. This is despicable and I am very displeased. I had hoped to have my tv returned to operation and instead I have a nightmarish experience and have to go without even longer. What a waste of my time and money! Don't make the same mistake!

5Great replacement!
By Golden
We bought this to replace the blown-out lamp in our Sony TV, model KDS-50A2000. The seller included clear directions of how to change the part and it works like a charm - good as new! We would have no problems buying this same part the next time it blows out.

5What I needed
By Forznoles
I have a Sony KDF55WF655 (55" Sony WEGA, purchased March 2005), and several months ago the TV would shut off for about 30 seconds, then would come back on, with the green power light flashing as it was "off." The problem went away, just to come back with a vengeance recently, shutting off for 30 seconds every 55 seconds it was on. Well, some internet research denoted the problem was most likely the bulb. I was told it needed replacing occasionally when I purchased the TV from Best Buy, and that was 6 1/2 years ago, and I had never replaced the bulb. So, I decided to buy a bulb. The Sony website sells this for about $200, and there are off-brands for about $80, so I wanted to save money, but not buy a generic bulb. So, I went with this Philips bulb, for between the two extremes. The third-party reseller was Dynamic Lighting - I ordered on a Saturday, paid a few extra dollars for priority shipping, and they shipped on Tuesday and it arrived on Thursday (cross country, they're in CA and I'm in FL). The box and item appears to be genuine Philips. I followed the instructions in the bulb box (slightly different, and more accurate, than what is in the TV owner's manual), and a small hex wrench was in the bulb box as well. Replacement was straight-forward. I'm a techie kind of person, so I would not say it was "easy," but it was do-able. The wrench wasn't long enough to reach into the screw and turn it completely - there was a casing wall to one side, so I had to do numerous half-turns to unscrew the old bulb and screw in the new one. But, it's done - probably 15 minutes total. And the TV works again. Colors are brighter, and I'm pleased. I can't say the off-brand ones are worse - as noted, I've owned this TV for years, and this is my first bulb replacement. So, if someone wants to go with an Osram generic bulb or something, that's obviously their choice. I also think the extra $20 for a bulb with housing is worth it - it does look more difficult to buy the bulb only and replace them out of the original housing. One final note - those owning the 42" or 50" version of this TV need the 2100 bulb, not the 2200 bulb - the 2200 is for the 55" and 60" versions of the TV. Good luck!

5Perfect
By Not Happy
I bought this light from Amazon and they sent me the wrong item. I bought it here and loved what I saw! This is a great price and a confirmed Philips bulb. Make sure to get the philips bulb and not the knock-off which will last you half time of the Philips

4Philips Lamp....I hope so
By kencal
I received the order in a timely manner. I wanted the genuine Philips brand, since my original lamp had lasted almost 6 years. After seeing some reviews stating that there were several aftermarket brands out there, I payed the higher cost to get the original, or at least I hope so. The lamp came in a plain looking box and had a sheet of paper describing how to tell if the lamp was a Philips. The only problem with that was the markings noted in the sheet were not visible from inside the housing, so I couldn't verify that my lamp had the correct markings without removing it from the housing which would defeat the purpose of buying the complete lamp with housing. The housing looks to be generic and not exactly like the one that came with the TV. I installed the lamp as per instructions and the picture looks really good, nice and bright again. There was not any kind of warranty card as shown in the picture on Amazon. I hope this lamp will give us near the service that the original lamp did, if so, I will be satisfied.
