Exceeded my expectations

This is a GREAT Macbook sleeve. I purchased the Saddlebook thin large brief case but thought I might need a little more protection for my 13" macbook air. After reading the description on the Saddlebook website I almost did NOT buy this item. It sounded like this is just a leather "cover". This Sleeve is FAR more than a leather cover. it is a leather shell with a pigskin lining but between the two of them is a thick layer of neoprene (not sure its "neoprene" brand but you know what I mean). This cover gives GREAT protection far exceeding an "neoprene" only sleeve. The seams are VERY thick making a "pillow" around all the edges. The sleeve is beautiful and smells AMAZING. This product is much better than I expected and gives my Macbook Air remarkable protection. I HIGHLY recommend this sleeve - well worth the money! (BTW LOVE my thin briefcase too, but thats another review).

Well, I finally broke down and spent the money on a MacBook Pro 13 inch to fit into my messenger bag that is also Dark Coffee from Saddleback. My 17 inch was just too long, so it stays home more now. The 13 inch MacBook fits great into my messenger bag along with my two iPad 3's and a bag full of cords and external battery supplies. I got the small bag from [...] . It has a strong leather strip about the size of a boot string to warp around the case to hold everything in. I still have room for my iPhones (2) and my iPod with a small DAC / amp and two sets of Shure headphones. Just hope you are not behind me in the TSA line at the airport . I am not greedy, just carrying for two.Great products that your family "will" indeed fight over when you're dead as the company states.I have seen a lot of leather goods living here in Texas, and either they are too high in price, or cheaply made or worst of all both. I do not think I have ever seen anything as thick as Dave's products are either. I love every piece I own and will most likely invest in more in the future. I currently own 8 or 9 different products and love them all.A lot of people complain about the nicks and scratches , but it is inevitable . I have a pair of $1200 RL boots that have nicks and scratches on them. They are also coming apart after just two years. I do not see that happening with Saddleback's items. The nicks ,yes, but coming apart, not in my lifetime. So consider if you can handle the nicks and scars. I think it gives the items a uniqe individuality. Also use the Chamberlin Leather Milk. It WILL NOT remove the scratches which I happen to like, but it will keep you leather from getting stiff.A very satisfied customer as usual, look forward to some new items,James
