Eucalyptus is one of the fastest growing, dense Hardwoods prized for its strength, durability and weathering characteristics in all climates. Eucalyptus is naturally resistant to decay with handsome pinkish-brown tones and a straight, light wood grain similar to Teak. Eucalyptus will weather to a silvery finish over time unless treated 2-3 times a year with outdoor furniture oil. We recommend using a natural Linseed Oil or any Outdoor Hardwood or Teak oil for our Eucalyptus Furniture. The hardwood we use are plantation grown and very dense, with a luxurious straight grain and high oil content, similar to teak. It’s excellent for outdoor furniture because of its strength, rich appearance and durability. We also recommend using furniture covers during the winter months in harsher climate zones. Outdoor Interiors is a FSC Certified manufacturer providing only plantation grown eucalyptus from well managed forests. All hardwood follows the C.O.C. Chain of Custody for managing timber from our forests through production to our factory. Bar-Pub Height Table expands with up-folding leafs for seating up to 6 people. Very nice!

I ordered this table for my deck because it has an umbrella hole. I mistakenly thought it was counter height(it is bar height). Because the quality is so good and I had looked forever for a table like this, I cut off about 5-6 inches from the bottoms of the legs and now it's a perfect counter - or balcony - height. The mechanism for extending the ends is very high quality. Four people would fit comfortably, six would be tight.

Nice Quality

This table is exactly what I was looking for. I bought it locally at Pike Nursery in Atlanta. We have a medium size deck and there are only the two of us so we didnt want anything too large but wanted to be able to expand it in case we had company. On father's day the four of us sat comfortably at the table with it expanded. You could sit five people but it would be uncomfortable. 6 people could stand at it with their drinks comfortably. Our deck is very high up and we gets some winds up here but dont feel as the other reviewer said that it would blow off. I will be oiling it and storing it in our basement in the winter along with all the other furniture we have. Only time will tell if it holds up as well as the rest of our Eucalyptus outdoor furniture. We feel we could not ask for anything more from this table for its perfect!

Decent table, reasonably priced

I ordered this via Amazon and it arrived in a really large box. Was poorly packed with no cushioning, so naturally it was cracked, smashed and bent. Ungh... With some effort my gifted husband was able to repair and patch it. Aside from the awful packing, the quality of the table itself is decent, but not what I would expect for the price I paid. The kit was easy to assemble, wood smooth and evenly stained. FYI, the maker advises indoor storage during winter, and oil applications to maintain life and appearance of the wood.Table has an umbrella hole, and the oval sides drop down to make the top smaller, 30" x 27". 4 people could sit around it comfortably; six could gather around it if they were standing.The table doesn't sit quite level on the floor, and its height is 5" taller than the typical kitchen counter top... that's rather tall! It is so light weight I suspect, with umbrella up on windy days, it would easily topple.We bought the table to use in the garden when we wash and trim veggies before taking them into the house - the slats in the table should allow the dirt and water to drop thru to the ground, and I appreciate that I can pop up a (lightweight) umbrella to give shade. Realize I may have to anchor it down, but for my purposes, I am okay with this outdoor table, dahleeng....
