Upgrade works well - Be aware that there are many "new old stock" parts out there. Some might be fine....

The first 405148-B21 HP 512MB BBWC Upgrade I received had a manufacture date of 05/08 - about 5 years ago. It had a bad battery - The diagnostic lights on the battery indicated a short condition and the battery wouldn't charge. The seller shipped a slightly newer replacement promptly and without much hassle and it is working fine.I found out later that I could have paid a little more and got one that was only 14 months old. I would have done that if I had known. Note that you probably have to call or write to find out the age of these. The dates that show in some of the pictures can be inaccurate because the pictures often don't update with inventory changes.
