My New favorite Air Pistol

I own many airguns/airpistols and this Alecto is definitely my new favorite.A)Very strong composite constructionB)Variable power (1,2 or three pumps and the 3rd pump is very powerful)C)Highly accurateWith one pump (suitable for target shooting) this gun is about half the noise of a Beeman P17 / Beeman P3 / HW40.I thought is might just be a cheesy copy of a Beeman P17 / Beeman P3 / HW40 but it's not, this gun has many improvements!If you can afford one of these, buy one!

Before purchasing I read many reviews here and elsewhere. Most are positive, but there are some negatives. I have to say I am squarely in the "positive" camp. This pistol hits hard, is extremely accurate, not too pellet picky, decent trigger, solid, well constructed and versatile. While not a real 10M target pistol by any means, it does have some of those capabilities because it produces very nice groups at that distance, points well with a target grip, no recoil.It is very large, but not too heavy due to the use of polymer components. In regards to that, about the only part I wish wasn't "plastic" is the top cover/slide. Time will tell if it can hold up to the pumping and slapping back down on the frame. Those who have had the Alecto for years have no complaints. The grip isn't for small hands, but an average sized hand will have no problem with this. Some have said they wish the grip was "softer". By that I assume they meant rubberized. I agree there, that would be nice. Maybe there's something that can be applied?The trigger isn't a real two stage, but it is decent with a consistent pull until let off. I don't see any need to adjust it from factory setting.The adjustable sights are ok...not target sights, but they are useable. I put a dot on it anyway. A potential problem for some might be the top Weaver rail. It only has one cross slot fairly close to the front post. So if you buy a scope or electronic sight keep that in mind.A lot has been said about the cocking effort. One pump is easy, two isn't bad and the third, while certainly not for a kid, isn't as difficult as some say. But most of the time, two pumps suffices. Just be sure to keep your fingers away from the edges or you can get pinched!Did I say the Alecto is accurate?

I have had this pistol for several months. Have shot 1000's of 22 cal pellets through it with zero problems.High priced but worth the money. The variable pump makes it a perfect inside/outside gun. The strength required to pump 2-3 times is moderate, but not difficult. Started out with open sights and was shooting accurately for my medium skill level. I put a Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 Red Dot Sight with a Promag 1/2" Picatinny Scope Riser on it (Need to file a bit for front site clearance). I was shooting 1/2" groups free hand at 10M after a little practice. The pistols shoot better than I can off a bench.If you want an air pistol that is versatile, accurate and great fun to shoot,buy this one. I will be a reliable friend!
