Product Description
Mepitel One may be left in place for up to 14 days, depending on the condition of the wound, which reduces the necessity for frequent primary dressing changes. The porous structure of Mepitel One allows exudate to pass into an outer absorbent dressing. The Safetac layer prevents the outer dressing from sticking to the wound and ensures atraumatic dressing changes. The Safetac layer seals around the wound edges, preventing the exudate from leaking onto the surrounding skin, thus minimizing the risk of maceration.

Made A Difference - Highly Recommended

The Mepitel One dressings have made a big difference in the treatment and healing of my pyoderma gangrenosum (a condition that causes large, slow healing ulcers). I have very sensitive skin and react poorly to most adhesives and dressings, but these do not cause any reaction at all.These covering are mesh like so the wound can drain but still provides a protective barrier between an absorbent dressing, like Mepilex Self-adherent Absorbent Dressing - 4 x 4" - Box of 5. They stay in place well and can be left on for days at a time and being clear they don't have to be removed to inspect the healing progress when changing the absorbent dressing.We get these directly from my "Wound Care" specialist so they are covered by my insurance, for which I am very thankful.Highly Recommended!CFH
