Mepilex Ag 6" x 6" Silver Wound Dressing is a soft and highly conformable anti microbial foam dressing that absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment. Mepilex Ag combines the unique features of Safetac technology with the bacteria reducing power of silver. This silver wound dressing is designed for a wide range of exuding wounds such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers and partial thickness burns. Mepilex Ag may be used under compression bandaging. The Safetac layer seals the wound edges, preventing the exudate from leaking onto the surrounding skin. The Safetac layer also ensures that the dressing can be changed without damaging the wound or surrounding skin or exposing the patient to additional pain. Mepilex Ag is comparable to Acticoat at a better price point.
