Excellent watch for good price! I have other model (M5) and its work perfect. I use it in every training. Is perfect to use in any ocassion too!

I bought this watch because I can read the very large numerals without my glasses. Yes, it does have an alarm function. The heartbeat monitor is a separate device that communicates wirelessly with the watch. Use of this device is optional.Initial configuration parameters (12 or 24 hour time, language) can be reconfigured but the manual that comes with the watch doesn't explain how. You need to go to Suunto's site for the full details.

nice watch. no alarm but nice watch. heart rate function works really well. also glad it is water resistant so i can swim with it. easy to read.
