I took a chance ordering this unit based upon previous reviews and the listed specifications and, boy, am I glad I did! I'm convinced that many inexpensive products are produced by the same factories which produce similar top quality name brand products selling for 2, 3 or 4 times the price. They simply brand it another name and the savings can be enormous.This double pedal is at least twice the quality of my previous name brand pedal and at less than 1/2 the price, no tax and free shipping. It arrived days before the estimated arrival date and when I unboxed it, I was all smiles. The tolerances are very tight, the quality of materials very high and it's fully adjustable in every way imaginable. And, it's a very attractive unit! It took me about an hour to adjust and dial in the spring tension so that the beaters require about the same pressure for each pedal. So, plan on tweaking it prior to mounting.Unmentioned are the provided drum key and allen wrenches conveniently mounted to the right pedal pan. Everything appears to be solid cast metal except for the base pans which are heavy gauge stamped sheet metal - but even these are very sturdy. Quality rubber pads on the bottoms and carpet spikes combine for slip proof use. Double chains are well designed and produced with little play. I recommend a thorough adjustment and tightening of all fasteners. The setup out of the box is not conducive to ease of play.I can't recommend this double bass pedal enough. Other reviewers spoke of it's excessive weight and to me this is a GOOD thing. It's rock solid and built to last. Don't wait, get one now! It's the best $89.00 you'll spend on drum hardware.

GP Double Bass Pedal

This is the first of my own. I have only had a single beater for years. I have tried others at the music store or meeting another who had a double bass pedal in a garage, basement, or bar.I like it. IT is different than my single beater, but I think I'll be able to learn-use it. Feels like a good quality, sturdy product. Definitely a good start.

This pedal is solid construction you are going to get the same results with this pedal as you are with a higher end model. Why spend more when you dont have to. Great pedal, Great price.
