Quiet and retro stylish

We live in a brownstone and both me and my wife are from the arts with me being the designer. We have an eye for a objects that will fit our current locations and can easily be teleported to another! Its an Indiana jones looking like retro product that fits a mordern decor. Good use of materialsThe fan itself is quiet as advertised. No ratlle shake and roll. It might tend to tip over when if you raise the legs too high and thats the one tiny flaw I can easily live with, but the rest of it is great. To see wood/bamboo bent into this round shape has got to take some doing too. I wonder why no one reviews staedler products--they are great not only does it look good and well as becomes part of the "background" but it works quietly. Its not the kind of hi-tech looking product that makes someone's jaw draw open but it gets the attention of someone who appreciates detail and a certain quiet looking product that projects taste

This is the only table fan I can stand sitting next to for hours while working on my laptop in the living room or having a quiet conversation with friends. We live in the desert, so efficient cooling in the summer is important. It is by far the most quiet fan I have come across and I have tried many in all price ranges. When sitting next to it I keep it on the lowest setting. It definitely is not a wind making machine, but very functional for the intended purpose of a quiet, short range cooling device. In addition, it blends in well with most furniture styles and its construction is of high quality, especially the motor. I have purchased my two Otto fans two years ago discounted for $149 at a different site. So searching for better pricing may be worth for this item. Both fans still run and look like new, and I am intending to buy more, probably one for every room in my house. Overall a great purchase and I am very happy to have spent a bit more on a nice looking item that I actually end up using.
