Does the job

So I am happy with this product, physical install was easy, fdisk setup easy.!!UPDATE!!I will warn you, this drive requires some knowledge of tweaking windows settings and reg entry to get setup properly.I had to disable sleep/hibernation mode, edit my registration to enable TRIM, get rid of my backup/restore point, move page file to a different drive, lower recycle bin settings, and finally a reboot, to get about 1/3 of the drive space back. (DISCLAIMER: I always move page file and turn off restore point when I install windows to any drive).My initial install of Win 7 64bit home premium with (SP1) subsequent patches left my drive with about 500mb of space left; and me with a big alarming concern of where did all my space go? I would like to think I'm relatively able and knowledgeable around windows to find and fix/set what I want, but in this case I had to do a ton of Google searches and read a bunch of different forums to try and sort my missing HDD space out.Other than that.I am extremely happy with the drive itself, couple months into ownership and all is well, no problems to report.OS boots so fast now and system is much quieter that HDD seekheads aren't spinning up and clicking and clacking when I boot the PC. It is amazing, just wish it were easier getting to the information I needed (reg edits) to get my hdd space.

This is a nice SSD drive. I have had it for several months now. No problems at all. Plug and play. Fast boot to windows 7.SSD's are GREAT for laptops.

Rare that a product has so many winning benefits. I now own ten different SSDs (all 2010 models of various capacities and speeds) from OCZ, Kingston, Western Digital, Intel and Samsung. While this drive is rated at the theoretical maximum SATA 2 transfer rate, honestly, I can't tell the difference between their speeds in day-to-day use. They are all very fast -- much, much faster than the original notebook drives they replaced. Boot times are all 3x faster than the original drives. SSDs are fast, durable, silent, and take a bit less power. No more defragging. I just cloned a 256GB SSD and it took less than 15 minutes. Wow!Best practice for SSDs is to do a fresh install of Windows 7. These drives offer the TRIM feature which, when used with Windows 7, will maintain their optimal speeds.I stopped buying spinning drives when I had a hard drive crash while at a customer site. The drive was 57 days old. Take my advice. Buy an SSD for your notebook. The benefits are awesome. You won't be disappointed.
