5Exceptional sound at any volume
By jray
I have had these speakers for several weeks now and have been very impressed. I am using them for the front left and right channels on my Home Theater System.Prior to this I started with a Samsung HTIB and then went with the Klipsch Quintet SL with separate sub powered by an Onkyo reciever. I replaced the left and right SL's with the F-30's.Some observations -The F-30's blow the sound from the SL's out of the water. The sound clarity and the way the F-30's fill the room even at low volumes is so much better (and I thought the SL's sounded sweet. These take the sound to another planet, they are so much better its not even fair to compare them. The F-30's require much less power to drive them. I had to reduce the signal to my left and right speakers by 4 levels as they produced so much more volume than the SL's.Both music and HT sound are exceptional. The wife wanted these sent back when she saw the size of them (they are not bookshelf speakers) but changed her mind after one night of listening to them. She normally isn't one to notice much in audio quality but she did with these. The sound that these put out was so dramatically better than I ever anticipated that I have ordered a new high end Klipsch center channel to bring all the fronts up to the next level. The rear speakers will be next. You will not regret purchasing these speakers. Look for occasional price drops for the best deal. If I could give these six stars I would. The only downside to buying these was that I feel compelled to upgrade the other speakers now.

5Amazing sound...best speaker for the money!!!
By ovi780
Incredible audio quality, no need for a sub unless you are using them in a cinema or outdoors. These speakers rock. I'm using them connected to a Pioneer Elite SC 35 and they blast, my windows shake and the detailed sound is amazing!!! No regrets on buying these speakers whatsoever except the packaging( got both of them scratched and with 2 feet broken but this did not temper with the quality of the sound).Lesson learned though...next time i'm gonna pay the little extra and buy the heavy stuff at Best Buy, not online cause the ups people can't handle heavy stuff and they get thrown around.

4Solid bass and overall decent sound.

1. The speaker is made in China. If that offends you, get something else. Klipsch hid this on the bottom of the box...no way you would see that in the store until you were loading it in your van/truck.2. $499 is too much for this...it's a $400 speaker...at best.3. Bass reproduction is pretty phenomenal. Songs like Outkast's "I Like the Way You Move" or Flo Rida's "Low" sound incredible. The deep cello of Yo Yo Ma is exceptional.4. Mid range intensive songs sound good...but you will be keeping your socks on...nothing great about vocals. They are clear and crisp, but not exceptional.5. The highs are pretty decent. Horn sections sound above average for a $400 speaker. As others have noted, you do not need a subwoofer with these guys up front.6. Overall, a great speaker for $400...but not $500. It could have been made domestically for about the same, but apparently US jobs are not important to anyone anymore. The China factor makes me think it's a $300 speaker...just frustrating.7. I use the speaker in the bi-amp mode, driven by a 125W Onkyo receiver.8. They are noticeably louder than the 901s I replaced. They provide better fidelity than the direct/reflecting setup. 901s were not (and could not be) bi-amped.9. Even at low volumes, you get the full conversation on movies. This is the biggest up check for these. Before, I had to have the volume up pretty loud to get all of the speech in movies. Now, I can keep it low and the kids can sleep and I can hear what is said...this and the solid bass make the speaker a keeper...even if I created zero jobs in the purchase.
