Glove is Too Heavy

I bought this glove to play senior slow pitch softball. Mu initial concern was finding a glove that would develop a good softball pocket. The glove has been good in that regard and the leather, like all Mizuno gloves, softens and conditions well. The problem I have had is the weight of the glove. The padding is very thick on the outer edges of the glove and the glove is 40% heavier than my fielder's glove. It almost feels like a catcher's glove. by the end of a double-header my arm is very tired and I find I'm just a little late to the ball on line-drives and hard-grounders. Glove picks throws like a champ though, so just be aware.

15 year old daughters fastpitch mitt. Glove appears to be well made. The test will come this summer. Weight of glove I think comes from the quality of the leather.

This glove is for my granddaughter who is 13. This will work well for her for now . . and it has been working well. If I look at a baseball first base glove compared to the ball . . size wise . . I would conclude that maybe I'd want my softball first base glove bigger than this .. but I did not find any. This is a good glove. It works well. Mizuno makes good products. I'd buy it again.
