Perfect 'step-up' glove for little-league

My 8yo son - using a hardball for the first season - had been using my 40-year-old glove and was complaining about the lack of padding. This Mizuno Franchise glove was the best glove I found which was light and soft enough for a kid, but solidly built and padded for real baseballs. So many gloves are simply too big for kids (over 12") or cheap/wimpy t-ball toy gloves. The Mizuno Franchise broke in quickly, will fit for several years, and has snug enough fingers and palm to work for 8-12yo (though its sold as an 'adult glove'.) I literally looked at every baseball fielder glove in Sports Authority and this was head and shoulders the right choice. After two days of break-in and now several weeks of play, no question about it. My kid is now catching reliably and with confidence.

Great glove even for high school aged players

This glove is one of the best you can get for the price! Breaks in amazingly fast, very soft leather. Very lightweight and flexible. The adjust-a-size feature is AWESOME. I play some highly competitive, high school level baseball and this is serving me well.

Bought this glove for my 7 year old son. He is a good player and needed his first "real" baseball glove. I mean real because he needed something that was of higher quality than the ones you get at the average sports shop.I played college baseball and have always been a Mizuno user. There are several reasons for this but here are the most important to me:1. Easy to break in2. High quality3. A glove that will last and hold up to heavy usage.This glove is fantastic. I would recommend getting this glove. You won't be disappointed.
