Good quality, excellent warranty, actually carryon size

I've been hunting around for a carry on that actually fits in the little "bag boxes" that the airlines are starting to enforce (it's been the rule that carry ons must fit for a long time, but the airlines have let it slide until recently). For several domestic airlines, the box is 22x14x10. Most luggage mfrs (including B&R by the way) list dimensions that are the exterior of the bag, not including wheels, handle, straps. So luggage which is listed as fitting does NOT and must be checked or gate-checked.This 19" bag is actually 21" once the handle and wheels are added in, but that's good enough.The bag has impressively sturdy-looking large wheels and a sturdy handle. Good selection of pockets, good-quality zippers. Love the little retractable cargo-net on the front. Haven't had the chance to travel with it yet, but I'm thrilled knowing I have a bag that I won't have to gate-check at the last minute.On my monitor, the Sunset color looks red - I'd describe it as really more toward a maroon or burnt red. At any rate, it's not black or the rather unattractive B&R olive.If you are looking for best price, be sure to check all of the listings - this bag is listed here on Amazon (by resellers) about 5 different ways, with a price difference of about $50 between the listings. It'd be nice to see the listings consolidated.

I have an entire set of the Transcend and LOVE it! I gave up on my Hartmann tweed as it was heavy and didn't have wheels. I purchased a cheap set from Costco a while back and it looked the same as this but was heavier and did not function as smoothly. You get what you pay for with Briggs & Riley. It's a solid suitcase without the weight and bulk. it glides smoothly and the handle telescoped and retracts easily. I didn't give this particular size 5 stars because I find it a bit too small for even an overnight. I have the same line in the previous year's model (one inch bigger) that has a feature which I think makes a big difference. It's a second zipper that runs parallel to the zipper to open the suitcase and when that second zipper is opened fully it gives another few inches of depth to the suitcase. That's essential for someone like me who buys a few things as souvenirs wherever I go. It means I dont have to sit on the suitcase to close it just to get those things in! I just unzip that second zipper and everything fits perfectly. My favorite piece of luggage in this line is the small es carryon wheeled bag. Do not pass up that item! Worth every penny. It has a special features that allows you to hook that small carryon to the larger bags in a way that I have never seen before or since. It makes the two bags become one. hard to describe but I loved it so much I went back and bough one for my husband and one for my son. My husband now has a smaller bag in which to pack his essentials, camera, laptop, ipad and which easily fits under the airplane seat instead of the overhead bin so you can actually get to what you need in flight. We purchased our set in red and love the color. Not too bright and somewhat masculine yet different from what everyone else has.

This suitcase looks great - makes me feel like an efficient traveler. It'll definitely fit in any overhead bin (I have another 'carry on' size suitcase that has been rejected a couple times from being a carry-on). There's no doubt that this one is carry-on, and as a girl - it's great for quick trips. I wouldn't use it for a week-long trip (too many shoes to bring!), but it's perfect for smaller trips. It's very light and looks and feels polished and professional. That little net in the picture folds in a pocket, so you don't even see it if you don't want to (that was my worry). I've been on a few trips with this already and am hoping it stays with me for a long time.
