Select from five different auto-darkening welding filters with the highest level of UV/IR protection up to 16. Solar powered so there are never any batteries to change. Helmets provide complete head, neck, and ear coverage. Both come with front loaded polycarbonate replacement and perma-lok ratchet headgear that locks in place for a precise, comfortable fit. Helmets are constructed of flame retardant nylon. Unique design channels fumes away from welders. Perfect for all welding applications. Enough room for a respirator. This helmet features a light state of 4, and a dark state of 9 - 13. There is a fixed sensitivity control and a viewing area of 7.25 square inches. Super cool Welding Helmet

My DH is a steamfitter and his helmets normally last for years. He bought one last year and it cracked soon after. He bought this one and it is holding pretty well, besides the really cool design. He said that his colleagues all comment on his helmet. It is lightweight. Make sure to buy the lenses from Amazon as well. We got them from another company and it took them almost a month to ship it out.

I've tried Several other helmets and I was most satisfied with this one. I have a tendency to weld with my face very close to the arc and as a result I fried the auto-lens on my previous helmet. This helmet has a greater gap between the inner and outer lenses which helps prevent the transmission of heat.The helmet is light and comfortable to wear and I get numerous compliments on the paint-job.
