Perfect Match

I was looking on the Sony website, the price for this product was ridiculeous. I figured I would try Amazon, and bam, I found the perfect match at almost under half the price Sony was asking for on their website. My TV looks great now, the bright detailed colors are back. For those that have this type of TV, if your picture looks faded, dull, or like its fading, check to see if its your lightbulb, if it pops it could cause other damage. Just some information I was reading on line when troubleshooting the issues i had with my TV. Hope this helps.

We bought a used TV and after looking online we figured why it was'n't working. We ordered this part to replace the old one and it started working just fine. The only issue is that in the product description it says this is a Philips but it doesn't come in the same box with the warranty shown in the picture. It comes in a plain box and it doesn't say anywhere it's a Phillips. But I've been using it for more than 5 months now and never had any problems.

Did Not Get What Was Advertised

This replacement lamp was presented as an original Philips lamp, with certification of some kind that it is NOT a Knock-off. The enclosed insert titled "How To Identify a Genuine Lamp", was helpful in that it made it very clear that the enclosed replacement lamp was in fact a knock off, as the only identifiable label stated boldly, "MADE IN MEXICO". A long way from the 'world class' manufacturing facility in Belgium, as the enclosed pamphlet described. To inspect the lamp it is necessary to remove it from the shrink wrap, which I then discovered voids the return policy. So I realize I am stuck with it, the installation was simple and my TV is bright again, so i am pleased with that. If it gives me another 2-3 years of reliable use of TV, i will be happy, but i am disappointed that i did not receive what was represented by the vendor and I feel duped and ripped off.
