Exceeded my expectations

I have been playing guitar for most of my life. I have toured professionally for many years and have played many acoustic guitars. My main instrument is a 1949 Martin 00-18. I wanted a guitar to live in my home demo studio. I took a chance on this low price guitar and I couldn't be happier. This isn't just a "beginner" guitar. The intonation is perfect, the action is nice and the sound is astounding for such an inexpensive instrument. The tuning pegs are solid, I like the look of the bridge, and the playability is excellent. It doesn't compare to my Martin but it comes a lot closer than it has any right to. I would highly recommend this guitar or the "spalt" version to anyone who wants a seriously good acoustic guitar but doesn't want to spend too much money. I'm giving it 5 stars based on value for price.

Great Value - Great Beginner Guitar

My wife finally wanted to learn guitar, but none of mine were quite right. Having the right fit and emotional attachment to an instrument is a critical motivator for a beginner. This guitar has a full scale, but has a smaller radius neck. The fit of the neck and finish of the fretboard was very good. No overhanging/sharp frets. There are nice overtones and it has surprising resonance for being a ply top. The flame finish is sprayed on and there is some overspray, but at this price one can't be too picky.A great player, and my wife is improving rapidly. Highly recommended.
