4Awesome Product
By Denis Kefallinos
When you boil it all down, this product is great at one task - saving you tons of money in repairs/replacements.I have used marine tex in a variety of tough situations, including repairing a leaking cast iron steam radiator in my home, and fixing structural plastic in my dishwasher pump housing. In both cases, the alternative was a multi-hundred dollar replacement part. I fixed it with a $20 purchase of Marine Tex.I will say its not an easy product to work with. Its not like solid two part epoxies that you mush on like silly putty and can hold things together while it dries. Marine Tex is much softer and stickier, making it difficult to apply easily and cleanly in tight places. It also has little to no 'structural' strength when you first apply it, so if you're fixing a piece of a broken chandelier hanging from ceiling, you need to find a way to hold the broken piece in place until Marine Tex sets. For this reason I held off giving Marine Tex the full five stars. As for cosmetics, once it sets abit you can form it and smooth it out with your fingers, and once it hardens, you can sand it, paint it whatever. The repair I made on my radiator has been holding up for about 8 years. It will never leak. And it sees some pretty severe temperature extremes, from 50-60 deg F to over 200F, cycling many times a day in the winter. Not a drop of water. Marine Tex is durable. When dry, Marine Tex feels as hard as rock.Overall, if you've broken something that you think crazy glue or other epoxies just can't fix, try Marine Tex. You wont use it that often, but when you do, it will be for a tough situation that otherwise was unsolvable and/or expensive. You will be amazed!

5The best product of its kind......
By nolo contendere
After using several less expensive brands of two part epoxy, I continually rely on 'Marine Tex' for totally predictable, always successful repairs and construction. I prefer the grey product, as it sets up 'harder' than the slightly flexible white (primarily marine)alternate..There are some totally unacceptable epoxy products on the market. Buying Marine Tex precludes the chance of a failure of the resin setting up properly and actually putting you back PRIOR to "square one". Marine Tex it is! Go for it!

5Marine-Tex is amazing!
By Glen R. Burdett
I was replacing the transducer in the ski well of my boat and was under the impression it was a "shoot through the hull" type, so I knocked it off with a hammer and chisel. Much to my surprise, and horror, it was actually a "thru-hull" type and I now had a 2" diam. hole in the hull of my boat.Several fiberglass shops quoted $400 to fix it.I decided to give a $12 box of Marine-Tex a shot first. I followed the simple directions and filled the hole with the new transducer and Marine-Tex Epoxy. 24 hours later I skeptically put it on the water. Low and behold it was as good as new!! Very, very impressive.Moral to the story: Don't knock things off the hull of your boat, dummy! But if you do, there's a good chance Marine-Tex will save your azz!
