The tissot innovation leadership is enabled by the development of high-tech products, special materials and advanced functionality. With a broader, more versatile range of high-quality timepieces at an attractive price than any other swiss watch brand, tissot also expresses its commitment to making excellence accessible. The digital display will give the absolute pressure in hectopascal. Thermometer function - the t-touch is able to display the temperature in celsius or fahrenheit while in the thermometer mode. This watch is gorgeous, the functionality can only be described as "cool," and the Amazon price is $318.75 less than your local gallery of jewelry and $423.75 less than the Tissot online shop (assuming 5% sales tax). The Amazon listing for this watch is flat out wrong on several particulars, you may be shipped an obviously used watch with a missing manual--as I was, and Tissot does not provide a warranty on those products sold by an unauthorized seller--as Amazon is.1. The titanium case with the high gloss finish is jewel-like; the "black carbon" dial has depth and luminosity, as if woven of strands of dark light; the clasp of titanium and the silicone rubber strap are clearly highly engineered; the whole is surprisingly light in weight when compared to a steel watch and neither too large nor too small on the wrist; and the overall design, IMHO, is orders of magnitude more attractive than either the T-Touch I or the Expert. The photo provided for this item does not do it justice, as no photo could, and I could not be more pleased with its design or appearance.2. The moving hands are cool; the red backlight is cool; the large digital display, the barometric trend indicated by the minute hand pointing to left or right of 12 o'clock, the compass with magnetic declination correction and azimuth degree, the bidirectional ratcheting bezel; all tres cool. (Do see the various online video reviews of this watch for the full, moving picture.)3. The Amazon discount claim for this item is not hype. It is, in fact and on the ground, leg work done by yours truly, accurate.BUT:1. The case material listed for this item is stainless steel--it is not. The dial color listed for this item is black--it is not. Not very reassuring in the murky world of luxury watches.2. When I called the dedicated watch line to ask about the discrepancy, I was told that it was just a clerical oversight and should I not receive the correct model--as cross referenced on the Tissot site--then I could send it back to Amazon at their expense. I decided that this was a reasonable response and ordered the watch on the spot.3. The watch I received--overnight, free shipping--was, indeed, the correct model number with the correct case material and dial color, but it was obviously used. The silicone strap had been sized by cutting the band--and sized badly with the clasp resting on the side of the wrist--and the clasp face showed what must have been a year's worth of scratches. The watch manual was missing from the packaging and the tags affixed to the band had been torn off by the clumsy previous owner and then tacked back on. Unacceptable, of course.4. I called the dedicated number that very day and received an apology and free shipping back to Amazon for the used watch and its replacement overnight the very next day (Amazon's personnel were professional, courteous, quick, and effective throughout this mini odyssey).5. The second watch arrived as promised and was obviously in new condition; strap un-sized, clasp un-marked and covered with protective film, no scratches or gunk on the case, manual present (in 16 languages, about 200 pages). To sum up, I would order this watch from Amazon again, but only from Amazon directly and only after careful due diligence (it IS a thing of great beauty). Only time will tell if I'll regret my decision to opt out of the factory warranty, but then again, if I had to pay over $1000.00 for this watch it would not be on my wrist today.

I bought the Tissot T-touch on April 30th, 2011. It looks great and the features are cool or rather were cool until the touch display started acting up in August. The compass and the thermometer just stopped working and the other functions would require multiple touches to activate. So much for swiss reliability!! I was covered under the amazon watch warranty program and promptly shipped the watch to Swinford...and that was on the 12th of September. Today is the 27th of October and they are still talking about waiting for the spare parts to arrive. I guess this will be my first and possibly last purchase of a tissot, ever. I own several japanese watches which have been performing without a hiccup for the last 5 years and here we are talking about what is supposed to be a precision swiss watch that just stopped working after 5 months!!Amazon has to improve on the warranty front as well. The warranty says 4 weeks to process a repair. In this case its been over 6 and its still pretty open ended. I asked for a full refund at the beginning of the 6th week and the case has now been pushed to some supervisor who will be getting back to me in 3 business days...in the meanwhile the wait is still on.I'd never recommend amazon for a tissot or for that matter any high end watch. I understand that sometimes watches go bad but the service/support/warranty has to rise up to the occasion and in this case they just have not!

I was looking for a classy, light, sport watch for running, biking, etc and after doing much research zeroed on this watch. I have had it for 3 days so far and it has not left my wrist except for when I sleep. I decided to leave the rubber bracelet adjustment to my master watch expert who carefully cut the pieces link by link until we had taken equal number from each side and could fine tune the fit with the pins connecting the band to the clasp. I suggest leaving it a bit bigger as the rubber is stiff and does not wrap around the wrist evenly. It is easier to cut more after wearing it flr a week or so but the lther way around does not work. Specially when replacement rubber bands sell for about $170 on Amazon! The initials set up for date, time and personal settings such as units and beeps was very easy, quick and natural. It will take me a few more days or weeks to memorize where all the touch screen functions on the screen are but it is nice to be in touch with your environment when outdoors and pushing hard. Altitude has been accurate after initial adjustment to the elevation of our home through a range of temperatures, pressures and humidities. I use the chrono for my runs and it is good to check the weather as well. So far I have not needed to use either compass or the alarm much but. They seem almost adequate. If the watch had a vibrate mode perhaps the alarm would be more useful. By the way, the red back lighting is totally James bondish. I only wish they also illuminated the dials and the arms :( I guess you can not have them all. It would also have been great to include the expert functions such as accumulated altitude into the watch. If you are a good to elite cyclist you want a watch that will have time, altitude and accumulated altitude, timer and perhaps temperature. I hesitate there because the reading when worn is the skin temperature. The watch needs to be removed and unworn for 10 minutes to get an accurate reading.I went with 4 out of 5 only because I will hold final judgement after using the watch for at least 6 month to see how it holds up and if needed how the Tissot customer support handles the customers needs. Stay tuned!2-15-13: I have been using this watch almost every day while running, bicycling or just daily activities and have to admit that it has become my favorite watch (I have over a dozen of them). I may buy another Tissot Touch model this year!
