By carolinaautoguy
This is a great little truck. The 4wd is probably not necessary but is great in preventing getting stuck. My 4 year old is able to drive with little supervision.Pros:Small Enough for in House.Pretty fastVery durable.Replacement and hop up parts available.15 minutes of drive time on fully charged battery.Battery is replaced on the bottom of the car, so requires no time or tools to switch a battery out.Controller has adjustments to set the alignment, which is a necessity.Cons:Gear in the rear Axle was knocked loose... easy to fix if you can figure out how to take apart and put back together. The car may have been dropped, could not get a straight answer from the 4 or 7 year old.Turn Radius is not great... Probably due to 4wd. While driving you can pop from forward to reverse to forward and kick out the back to shorten the turn ratio on slick floors.RC Controllers Metal expandable antenna looks fragile and the range seems to be about 30 feet.Suggestions:Buy spare battery(ies) or Lipo battery and Charger. Charge time is over an hour so it means playtime is over for a while if the Battery is dead.Buy a few spare clevis pins if you ever take off the top... they are tiny and are lost easily... I am currently running with 3 out of 4.Hair and fuzz get stuck on all 4 axles. Especially for drivers going under furniture. Have tweezers ready for some maintenance and take of the wheels with included tools to really clean out.If you buy multiple cars make sure the Crystals are different so they can be driven at the same time. There will be a silver sticker on the box and controller with a number (like 1, 2, or 3). Buy cars with different numbers or you will have to replace the Crystal at about $10 per crystal plus time involved.

By Danny Fayne
This thing is really fun. I purchased it for my son's 5th birthday as something we can do together and to get him interested in the world of RC. I was an RC fanatic in my younger days but since so much has changed, I did a lot of research to find the right car. I was looking at 1/10th scale short course trucks at first thinking we could race it together at the local track but after a few practice runs with an old RC10T3 I quickly realized my 5 year old might be better served learning on something a little smaller and maybe a little slower. Besides a 1/10th scale car is no fun indoors. I'm glad I found this little truck. It's a little smaller than I had expected but it's not super micro. It's a great size for indoor and outdoor fun. The build quality on this truck is excellent. It's a true hobby grade product which means that hobby shops carry a full line of replacement parts and upgrades which is great for someone who's just learning to drive. Once you break a toy quality car it's game over. Out of the box it's pretty speedy especially for a basement racer but with a brushless motor upgrade and LiPo battery I'm guessing the truck will be a mini rocket. With 4 wheel drive and adjustable suspension this truck handles great and rolls over just about everything, even the cat. To make a long story short, this little RC is really fun to drive. It's the perfect vehicle for a little tyke or even an advanced racer( with really small fingers ) that wants to get a little indoor racing practice. There's 9 inches on snow on the ground right now so I haven't had a chance to see what it can do outside but I'm even more fun on the open road.

By A Customer
HelloI received one of these cars about a year ago, for my birthday. It is great. Very durable, and fast! It looks so real, and it is a great car for inside when it is raining and I can't drive on the dirt track near my house.Pros:Very durable: Has hobby grade electronics, steel driveshafts, LCG tub chassisGreat handling: The oild filled big bore shocks and 4wd system allow you to put all the power to the ground. The shocks allow for great cornering, and the 4wd allows for some good powersliding on polished floors.Soft rubber tires: the tires are soft compound rubber, like what would be used in larger scale rc racing. It affords huge amounts of grip on pavement, but still allows for some good old drifting fun on slippery surfacesSuspension: It has threaded big bore shocks, with oil (my 1/10 racing SCT does even have this!). The oil in the shocks makes fore great handling. It is a serious improvement over the micro t friction shocks. The threaded bodies make adjusting the spring preload easy, and there are 3 mounting holes on each shock tower and 3 on each a arm for each shocks. This makes tuning the suspension easy. It is also very easy to adjust the ride hight by changing the mounting holes.Cons:The servo blew out pretty quick, but the replacement has lasted a very long time and is still tickingCan't adjust camber: but you can easily mod it to use micro heli turnbuckles, which let you adjust itThat is it: it is a great carConclusion: I think that it is a great little car. It has been very fun, and reliable for me. I haven't broken any mechanical parts yet, aside from stripping a pinon gear. It has had very little down time, and is always a great car to drive around the house when the weather doesn't permit outside driving. And it also does great onroad outside. And did I mention it was fast? Like really fast, no I mean it. With the stock battey it is a slow jog to keep up with it, and with a 2s lipo I would estimate it goes 10-15mph. it is great fun. And with a Losi Xcelorin 1/36 brushless system it goes 30+mph. That is right 30mph. It is incredible. I would highly recommend it to anyone, and the SC style bumpers make it crash resistant . I would highly recommend it to anyone. A+, you've done it again Losi! :)
