Excellent Quality!

I just recently bought 3 of these from Fry's Electronics to do my surround gaming. And I have to say LED LCDs are the way to go. Images and games are crystal clear, monitor is light-weight and easy to handle. These 3 replaced my ViewSonic FuHzion 3D widescreen monitor. These are easy plug and play, although they did come with a driver disc which I did not need. I totally recommend these monitors.

Things are a little tough when 1 out of 5 TVs in the house are HD. I often found myself stealing the only HDTV in the house to play my Xbox or PS3, which isn't too fair. So, I decided to go shopping for a monitor for my then-new Desktop, and lo, I found this one. I can say that I have never seen any TV surpass this in terms of overall picture quality. True, compressing 2,019,600 pixels onto a 22" display is a little overkill, but you get what you pay for. The 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio is nuts. It almost acts as a light source at night if needed. 100% brightness would probably be damaging to your eyes if you sat close enough. The 1080p is always crystal clear, and even 720p looks good enough. Plus, the screen is pretty much anti-glare. I was amazed that it was useable in direct sunlight. However, even though I can overlook these due to the picture quality, there are some shortcommings.The front buttons are touch sensitive. While this is all well and good when they're illuminated, you will NEVER EVER hit the power button on the first try if it is dark or dim. Maybe even not on the fourth or fifth time, which is annoying.There are no built in speakers, so you need to supply your own, or use headphones. This might be a huge drawback for some people, but I luckily had a set of stereo speakers handy.FINGER PRINT MAGNET. While the sleek appearence is nice, the front buttons will be coated to no end. Cleaning it is futile.Like I said, the picture quality it the real relic here. I would tell you to buy it on that alone. Your choice, as always. I would buy this same model again if my current on died, though. No questions asked.
