The XR Trail shoe is for higher mileage runners who transition between trail and pavement and want a neutral shoe that can cope woth both. Perfect fit comes from Salomon's Sensiflex, soft reinforcement on the ball of the foot and the Sensifit system to wrap around the upper instep precisely. An oversized tendon midsole component provides a smooth cushioned ride with energy return for long runs and a new chevron pattern Contagrip outsole ensures precise grip on virtually any surface. This neutral version has a 3 piece midsole with a symmetrical shape, and fully welded sensifit upper.

Received sooner than expected. Very satisfied with order. Shoes are light, comfortable and very durable. I ran a full trail marathon without breaking them in and had an excellent run. I would highly recommend them.

This is a great shoe. Last night I ran 7 miles in them for my first run and had no problems. I don't have any intention of changing to another shoe. I would suggest getting 1/2 size smaller than normal size because they seem to run a little big. I like the bigger toe box on these.

I haven't had a pair of trail shoes I liked so much in a long time. I did find I needed to order a half size less than my normal running shoes size to get the right fit.
