Perfect journal

I am a journal connoisseur. My wife would say I am obsessed, and she has a point as I have a lot of journals. I never liked the Moleskine, as I wanted leather. Then, I ran across Saddleback Leather. A friend bought their briefcase, and I checked out their site. I loved the leather quality, and decided to pick up a journal cover.The design looked weird at first, as the back has an uneven curve. Then, I inserted my hard-backed unlined Moleskine, and I saw the genius of the design. The leather perfectly fits the journal with as much leather coverage without interfering with the elastic strap of the Moleskine. Awesome.My journal search is pretty much over, as this was everything I kept searching for. I wanted a refillable leather journal that could hold a pen and have plenty of pages.I liked their leather quality so much, I pitched in for three other Saddleback Leather products (briefcase, pouch and Bible cover (medium). Each piece has character while still matching (all are dark coffee in color).I highly recommend Saddleback for any of your leather products. This is a small company that really cares about what they produce (read their website). The quality is second to none.

Wanted to buy a cover for my Moleskine. Heard so many good things about Saddleback so decided to try. Not too sure about the chestnut colour at first but it turned out wonderful! The leather feels luxurious and smells good! No regrets!

This was my first Saddleback Leather purchase. Wow !! I wish everything was made this well. They are not kidding with the 100 year lifetime warranty. I do not doubt people will fight over this product when you are dead as they say. Hopefully though that is a long time off. I cannot say enough about the craftsmanship. I had wondered initially (before receipt) if this would make my notebook too bulky. But it only increased the bulk a little bit at the same time keeping the necessary Moleskine dimensions. I like the "shelf" around the edges to place a pen/pencil in (it really does work). I use my Moleskine for everything from art journal to a daily journal. This cover allowed for me to stuff art supplies inside the Moleskine to make it more versatile and useful in daily practice. I love this product. I have requested things from Saddleback such as a sunglass holder etc.. and they have replied that they may be working on that. They actually answer customer service inquiries themselves (not outsourced to India). As an added bonus they donate some of each purchase to impoverished communities which I also liked. If you buy this product you will not be disappointed. I only wish Saddleback made couches because my dog made a mess of the cheap leather of which my couch was made.
