Turned out as cute as the demo!

I was worried that these stencils would not work for us since the walls we painted on are lightly textured with small bumps. This product is recommended for smooth surfaces only. But, we took a chance and it worked out fine. Now my child's room is SO cute! It really helped with his transition to sleeping on his own and his little friends can't wait to get back over to the "dino room" to play.if anyone has textured walls you can use a little of the blue painter's tape to secure the stencil and then use your background colors to touch up the lines when the stencil art is dry. It's a little more work but it is worth it.

I purchased this wall stencil set for my 4 year old son's room. It was so easy and fun! I reused some of the stencils 3-4 times with no problems. I followed the suggested colors for most of the stencils, which looks great. My son's favorite dinosaur is the T-Rex and I really wanted it to stand out from the rest so I used a different color combination on that one. I didn't have a fine tip paintbrush handy so I used sharpie's for the eyes and mouths. His room looks amazing! Most importantly, he LOVES it. Another great thing I like about it is when he outgrows it all I have to do is paint over it.

My son's room looks great. I used the paint color recommended in the handout and they look great. Initially the green was a little bright, but it goes well with the blue. We have slightly textured walls so I trialed a stencil and it bled. For the next one, I "sealed" the stencil by placing it on the wall and then painting the wall color onto the stencil. Once it dried, the stencil adhered better and I only had minor leakage which was easily touched up w/ the wall paint. This is a very cute project and not nearly as difficult as I thought it might be!
