Nice Crib - FedEx Delivery Poor

The Crib: Is well built and definitely worth the price paid. Assembly was pretty straight forward and the instructions were decent at least. It would really help to have a second person to help later in the assembly to hold while you put sections together. Overall, I would definitely buy this unit again, it is a good value. Fit and Finish are better than expected for this price range. Delivery: Here is how my daughter described delivery by FedEx... "I had just fallen asleep on the couch, and never even heard the truck backing up my driveway... I was awakened by a huge bang!... I looked outside and saw the FedEx truck drive away, so I looked in my garage, and there was the crib. The box was torn open and you could see inside, but had been re taped".Luckily, after I went to her house and inspected the crib, it somehow managed to avoid damage. Note to FedEx driver: next time try using a hand truck properly and lay the package down instead of dumping it. You might also try knocking or ringing the doorbell to let the customer know you are there instead of the method you used and startling them. I work for a delivery company (larger than FedEx), and I certainly know the stresses you are under, but that type of delivery is unacceptable in many ways. I would have been pretty upset if the crib had been damaged and I had to go through the hassle of repacking and returning it. Bottom Line: Great Product for the money, but hope you have a better FedEx driver in your area!
