Great Rich Black Denim Jeans w/ Pockets - My 2nd pair!

If you're on the lookout for a pair of rich black denim jeans with back pockets, these are your jeans! They are a slim boot cut, meaning a straight leg with a slight flair/kick starting below mid-calf, which gives more flexibility with shoes & breaks up wearing skinnies all the time. They are a "can-wear-to-work" denim with a slight edge given the contrast stitching on the hips and scuff/wear on the upper leg. Nothing inappropriate, just a little bit of character. These are my 2nd pair of Oaxaca's .MEK Fit: The fit on the MEK Oaxaca's (I own other MEKs) are better than True Religion but not as good as Rock & Republic (my holy grail & personal faves along w/ some Italian jeans) prior to R&R's bankruptcy. As background, I'm a 24/25/26, depending on brand & style. I'm a 34" inseam and thin (meaning my behind and hips are smaller than the average American female's). Joes, Sevens & Hudsons, which I also own, don't tend to fit me as well.Authentic MEKs?: These are my 2nd pair and match the pair I bought at Nordstrom (98% cotton, 2% lycra tag), weight of denim, buttons, stitching and dye. In my opinion, these aren't knock offs as you can normally tell by the fabric/handiwork (stitching, buttons). I called MEK before placing my Amazon order (in late Dec 2012) to verify but they couldn't confirm. MEK's site currently no longer sells to consumers and they aren't sure if they'll reopen for online sales. They are also no longer at Nordstrom or the denim specialty shops in my city.

I first borrowed these jeans from my sister, fell absolutely in love with them, and purchased 2 identical pairs of my own! The fit is fantastic, very slimming while enhancing the behind. They have a very low waist for further info.

WAY Too Long!

34" inseam on all sizes for this particular style of MEK, great for really tall women. Not so great for me at 5'6, 128lbs. I ordered size 29 and they were pretty big, I probably would need a 27, which would be unusual for me. But these jeans are SO LONG that, without shoes, they wrap under my feet practically all the way to my toes! Bummer because I got these on sale and I do think they're AUTHENTIC. Everything in this description matches the description on the MEK website.
