Hermle Bounty Ships Bell Clock

I have several classic brass ship bells clocks. They have a wonderful tone and are a delight to have. The only problem is winding them. Hermle has come up with a clock that takes two larger than usual batteries which, I am told, will last a year. Because this is a lighter weight brass construction, the bells are not as sharp,full or resonant as a proper ships bell clock. Having said that, for in the home, this is a marvelous clock and I am very satisfied with it. The tone of the bells, while not as robust as a proper ships bell clock, is actually better for use in a bedroom or a hallway off a bedroom.
