Sturdy and nice quality

I have been looking for a slide/grab bar for the shower. This one is very sturdy and it looks nice. The slide is very easy to adjust. Aligning the 2 mounting brackets during installation is a bit challenging. The way the holes are aligned, you cannot drill the holes with the mounting brackets held against the wall. It would be nice if there is a template included to assist in the installation for marking the mounting holes. Drilling the 4 holes for the screws must be very precise, a little off will be a problem. I use #8 stainless steel screws to make sure they are strong enough and won't corrode, the size of the screw just fits the mounting holes, that leaves little room for tolerance.

Most of the shower bars look institutional or wimpy. This is hefty, nice looking and functional. I really love it!!

Great quality

This product gets 3 stars since I agree with everything that review "Sturdy and nice quality" said. You have to be very precise with making the holes. I used longer screws to make sure it went through the studs especially if it someone uses it as a grab bar. My biggest problem with this product is the shower-head holder is not universal. I have a Water-pic hand shower and the end of the hose is too big for the holder. Now I am forced to buy a Speakman hose. The hose hasn't arrived yet but I only hope the hose fits the shower-head. The good part about this product is the quality.
