Took it out fishing and once I got it adjusted it worked great. Forgot to read manual first though so had a few backlash issues while playing with the controls. I suggest a quick read of backlash and setup before first use to avoid that. Once dialed in it was problem free. Very smooth and drag worked well on the 2 fish I caught.

My favorite reel, very smooth and long casting. New model has more improvements on it. Good solid reeI, nice palming shape. Too me 2 nd. only to Lew Childess in feel. I hope it will last as long as Abu Garcia reels I have had for 35 years, 4500CBs.
