Perfection Required

I found the product to work excellent without a load on the the slides, or under minimal load (0-10 lbs). When you remove them from the package, you will be exceptionally pleased with how smooth they run and the ease of installation. As another reviewer mentioned, you must be PERFECT with install and drawer build in order for these to function properly.I had drawers that were large for a pedestal unit under a washer and drayer. There was less than 1/16" variation, and the self closing mechanism would not engage. The issue here isn't as much with the quality of construction as the quality of wood. All wood will bend and twist over time, so it is only a matter of time before the drawer slides stop functioning, if you are lucky enough to get them functioning in the first place.I also didn't care for the fact that there is no "right" or "left". The slides are the same, you just flip one upside down for one side. Given the very minimal room for error on the closing mechanism and the fact that they mount(screw) down the middle, you are bound to end up with one side or the other not engaging at some point because the slides under a reasonable weight load (20-25 lbs) will "Slouch" leaving the slide not perfectly perpendicular to the drawer. The pin that engages the self closing mechanism is very small (<1/8") so any stress pulls it out to the point it cannot engage.All in all, the product is by far the least expensive self closing slide you will find. That said, it is also the cheapest build (all cheap, weak plastic in the closing mechanism). If you are considering this for a kitchen install, I would think it should suffice. If you plan on the drawer load being >15-20 lbs, I would look elsewhere, you will just end up frustrated. For heavier drawers or maybe less than perfect construction I reccomend going to your local big box home center and just looking at some of the drawers they have on display. There are several different ways to achieve the self/soft closing feature that are much more "user friendly" out there.

I installed these in my kitchen and so far they are working excellent,love the soft close.the installation was a little tricky because you have to be right on, otherwise the soft closing mechanismdoesn't engage,so you have to be somewhat handy to install these. They are well constructed, Overall they are significantly cheaper than others for a good product.
