Awesome!

My husband runs a golf course and needs waterproof shoes every morning. We have bought Merrell several times, and while he finds these comfortable, they rarely last longer than three to four months without falling apart. We have also tried salomen and they do not seem to last all that long either. This is his second pair of Columbia and he likes the shoes a lot better than any of the others and they seem to hold together better and longer. These are his favorite waterproof shoes!

Good everyday use shoes

I use these shoes for every day use as I am pretty hard on shoes as I do a lot of walking and a lot of slamming the shoes into objects. They are light and maintain well and allow your feet to breathe. Well worth the money

Very nice item! Seems a bit pricey!

I use this every day in my classroom. Good size and very sturdy. The company was a pleasure to do business with. Bent over backwards to help with shipping and communication was first rate! I still think it was priced a bit too high. Probably can find a cheaper equivalent if you look.

Product Description

Kasumi means mist in Japanese. The border of the blade on a Kasumi has beautiful waves that look like a mist. It is made of two materials; blue or white steel and soft iron. The waves are the border of hard steel and soft iron. When hard steel is covered with soft iron, it becomes less fragile. Kasumi knives are easier to maintain than Honyaki knives.

Most frequently used to prepare sashimi and slicing raw fish. Can also be used to cut large cuts of meat without bones. Not to be use with frozen foods. Handle is made of natural Magnolia, which provides a secure grip and prevents slipping. Handle is D-Shaped that fits in hands comfortably.
Natural sharpening stone is recommended for sharpening.
Recommended for beginner to professional chefs.

History- Since 1550, Yoshihiro, Masamune, and Yoshimitsu were known as the best sword craftsmen in Japan. After his death, Yoshihiro's apprentices continued to use his technique and traditional skills. The techniques used to make samurai swords are used to make Yoshihiro chef knives. Yoshihiro knives are now recognized to be one of the best chef knives in Japan due to the rich history and techniques that are applied from sword making to chef knives.

for the price this a awesome knife. sharpens well on a 6000 grit waterstone. And weighting for a yanagiba, it is excellent. A must get if your beginning a career in japanese cuisine or seafood heavy cuisine
